Your Information and How We Use It
myCurfew is provided by Catontech Management Systems LLC. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what myCurfew collects, how it is used, who can see it, and how long it is kept.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, contact details, address, birth date and the other details your court program asks for at sign-up.
- What the app records for the court: where your phone is, your check-ins and answers, journal notes, and the photos you take in myCurfew. myCurfew does not listen to your calls or read your texts, email, photos or videos.
- Your phone: its model, operating system, app version and the settings myCurfew needs, so we can keep it working.
- Billing: your plan, charges, payments and credits. Card and bank details are handled by Stripe; we keep only the type and last four digits.
- Website and sign-in: when you log in we record the time, your IP address and the location your browser shares (location is required to log in). The website uses a cookie to keep you logged in, and our web server keeps standard logs.
- Support: your support requests and our notes about them.
Who can see it
- The court and law enforcement: the officers and court staff for your program see what the app records, for court and law enforcement purposes.
- myCurfew support: our staff, to run the service and help you.
- Companies that help run the service, only for that purpose: Stripe (payments), Google Firebase (notifications to your phone), Vonage (video support calls, if you use them), OpenStreetMap (turning a location into a street address when staff view it), and our hosting provider.
We never sell your information or share it for advertising. We share it outside the court only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- While you are in a program, your full history is kept.
- After your service ends, your records are deleted six months after your exit date, unless they are under a legal hold.
- A legal hold means a court or the law needs the records kept. Records on hold are never deleted until the hold ends.
- Website and system logs are kept for about 90 days. Backups are kept for a limited time and then replaced.
Security
Your information is stored on our servers and can be reached only by people with an account who need it. Passwords are stored in a form that cannot be read back, administrator accounts use two-step sign-in, and repeated failed sign-ins are paused.
Your rights
You can ask to see or correct your information at any time. You can also ask us to delete it; records the court still needs, or that are under a legal hold, are kept until they are no longer needed.
